Gyoja-sugi Cedar Forest (Gyoja-do, Sakaime-ishi stone, Goma-dan, Water spring, Forest bath)
Beautiful LandscapeCulture & History
There are 375 giant cedar trees that are 200-600 years old. A long time ago, monks who practiced asceticism on Mt. Hiko planted trees before they started practicing on the mountain. The particularly large cedar is called the 'Father of Ascetics'. There is a promenade where you can stroll through the clear air and magnificent trees.
